Amateur Radio Exams
Becoming a licensed Amateur Radio operator has never been easier. Our club offers instructor guided study and discussion sessions for Technician and General Class licenses. Study guides are highly recommended (see below): be sure you have a current edition. Morse Code is no longer a requirement (although many hams still enjoy using this mode). Please see the Club Calendar for dates or call our contacts listed there to let us know you would like a class.
SCARC and the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) offer FCC amateur radio operator license testing.
Amateur exams are held the 3rd Monday every other month, starting in
January. Some exceptions apply: check the Club Calendar page to confirm the latest schedule.
The exams are given by Certified Volunteer Examiners (VEs).
Location: Cedarhome Baptist Church
29000 68th Ave NW

Our sessions are held at 7:00 PM in the ground floor classroom of a detached building on the North
side of the campus. An FCC Registration Number, picture ID and $15.00 (Cash only USD) are needed to
